Christmas Eve in the Barn, Sound cold? I won't lie, I was happy for my fur coat last year as it was a bit nippy but the message and the company were warming. This year the temperature is predicted to be in the balmy mid-40's which happens to be the exact night time temps Bethlehem has this time of year. There was no fireplace in the stable, nothing about "as they all sat around drinking hot chocolate by the crackling hearth". Hay, straw and fire is not a good combination so Mary, Joseph and baby made due with the warmth of each other and the gathering of the animals around them. Everyone is invited to come to our gathering where we will have cookies with hot apple cider and hot chocolate but sorry, no hearth, so bring a blanket and a friend. Get your spirit warmed outside in a barn this Christmas Eve.
